About UnderGround Weather™

We report what is happening underground so growers can make better decisions above ground.

Every day, farmers rely on weather forecasts to understand the conditions shaping their crops above the surface.

Yet the conditions below the surface—where water, nutrients, oxygen, temperature, and biology interact—have remained largely invisible.

UnderGround Weather™ was created to change that.

We are building a new category of soil intelligence that combines direct underground measurement with AI-powered analysis to help growers, agronomists, retailers, and agricultural innovators continuously understand the underground environment driving crop performance.

The Opportunity

Fertilizer represents one of agriculture’s largest annual investments, yet a significant portion of applied nutrients never reach the crop. At the same time, growers face increasing pressure to improve profitability, resource efficiency, and environmental stewardship.

The challenge is simple: you cannot effectively manage what you cannot see.

For decades, agronomists have relied on soil samples, field observations, weather data, and experience to understand underground conditions. While valuable, these methods provide only periodic snapshots of a dynamic system that changes every day.

UnderGround Weather provides a continuous view of the root zone, helping transform nutrient and water management from periodic guesswork into real-time intelligence.

Built on Nearly Two Decades of Underground Intelligence

Originally founded as AquaSpy, the company pioneered continuous underground sensing technology and helped establish soil monitoring as a practical management tool for agriculture.

Since 2009, our technology has been deployed across multiple continents, supporting growers, agronomists, researchers, and agricultural retailers. Through those deployments, we have collected billions of underground measurements across diverse crops, soil types, climates, and management practices.

Today, that foundation powers UnderGround Weather.

Direct Measurement First. AI Second.

Many agricultural AI systems rely primarily on models, estimates, and assumptions.

Our approach is different.

UnderGround Weather combines direct underground measurement with AI-powered analysis.

Powered by Crophesy™ LS-N, the platform continuously measures nitrate, oxidation-reduction potential (ORP), moisture, salinity, and temperature throughout the crop root zone. These measurements create a continuous picture of the underground environment. AI then transforms those measurements into practical insights, reports, and decision support.

First, we measure reality.

Then AI helps explain what it means.

Introducing UnderGround Weather Reporter™

UnderGround Weather Reporter™ is the world’s first AI soil intelligence reporting engine.

Reporter automatically analyzes underground measurements, weather conditions, crop activity, soil characteristics, and management events to generate concise field reports that explain what is happening underground, why it matters, and what deserves attention next.

By reducing the time required to interpret complex data, Reporter helps agronomists spend less time reviewing charts and more time advising growers.

Our Vision

We believe every field has its own underground weather system.

Our vision is to make understanding underground conditions as routine as checking the weather forecast.

By combining continuous measurement, artificial intelligence, and agronomic expertise, UnderGround Weather is building the intelligence layer for the future of nutrient management, irrigation management, and sustainable crop production.

Leadership

UnderGround Weather is led by a team of entrepreneurs, engineers, agronomists, and technology innovators with deep experience building category-defining companies in software, IoT, telecommunications, analytics, and agriculture.

Together, we are creating the world’s leading platform for continuous underground intelligence.
