Silage Crops

Silage can be any harvested green crop stored until (usually) it ferments. It is used as fodder in feedlots during those months when fresh harvest is not available. Silage crops include corn, legumes and grasses, the most common silage crops being corn, sorghum, barley, alfalfa and oats. Corn accounts for about 95% of silage in any given year.

Using affordable, intelligent crop-specific monitoring technology from AquaSpy helps farmers monitor their crops continuously throughout the season which eliminates the need to manually monitor their crops and test soil moisture, reducing runoff as well as saving them time and money.
